Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the development and implementation of customized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, restoring muscle function, and optimizing patients' physical performance.
• Conduct detailed assessments of clients through diagnostic tests and evaluations of musculoskeletal systems, providing insight into individual functional capacities.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants to guarantee the effective execution of care plans while supervising and mentoring them as necessary.
• Evaluate patients' home environments, identifying modifications needed to promote independence and safety in daily activities.
• Administer therapeutic services as prescribed by physicians, which may include manual therapy techniques, exercise programs, and modalities like traction and massage.
• Record and analyze patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed, and communicating any necessary changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families about therapy protocols and assistive devices to encourage adherence to therapy guidance.
• Engage actively in case conferences and treatment planning sessions, contributing your expertise to enhance the collective knowledge of the care team.
• Complete other reasonable duties as assigned to support the overarching goals of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires working primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries or managing chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• A minimum of one year working experience in physical therapy, preferably in acute care or home care settings.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license with insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to engage positively with patients, families, and team members.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
