Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health challenges, developing and implementing customized treatment plans that reflect evidence-based practices.

• Provide individual therapy sessions to students, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

• Collaborate with clients to establish therapeutic goals tailored to their specific needs, regularly monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

• Offer teletherapy options for clients who prefer remote sessions, ensuring accessibility and convenience regardless of location or ability.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation to uphold ethical standards, including treatment notes, progress reports, and treatment plans, which are crucial for compliance and client care continuity.

• Engage in continuous professional development through training sessions, workshops, and peer reviews to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on school-aged clients, including children and adolescents experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and behavioral issues. You will work closely with clients' families, teachers, and school administrators to create a holistic support network that promotes mental wellness in the educational environment.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and valid license in New York as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field, or a Doctoral degree in Psychology.

• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a commitment to a non-judgmental therapeutic approach to client care.
