The Maitre' d role welcomes guests with impeccable service, serving as the first static brand ambassador for our restaurant. Responsibilities Manage shift reservations to ensure smooth service flow and meet guest needs. Greet incoming and departing guests warmly, directing them to their assigned dining area. Make reservations for guests at the restaurant or by phone. Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate service. Control the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, giving accurate wait times when appropriate. Call guests to confirm reservations or answer questions as needed. Communicate with other hosts about guest tables and special needs. Relay guest notes to managers, kitchen, and service teams using chits. Attend to special guest needs and requests. Recognize and welcome regular, VIP, and critic guests. Research, detail, and track VIP guest preferences and contacts. Communicate new VIP bookings or walk‑ins to leadership and teammates promptly. Update and track VIP information in team documents as new data becomes available. Inform guests about restaurant offerings and hotel property details or initiatives. Maintain a strong and friendly presence at the door. Communicate necessary guest information to the kitchen. Check, secure, and return guest belongings. Carry out additional requests from management to maintain service flow and cleanliness. Input special button codes into POS for daily or weekly specials as directed by the chef or management. Update the Single platform online menu daily or weekly to keep all online channels accurate. Audit online channels to ensure operational information is correct. Qualifications Passionate about hospitality and food & beverage with prior similar work experience. Basic knowledge of banquet operations. Team player, hard worker, and detail oriented.
