Client Overview A leading commercial real estate organization is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy property portfolio in Jamaica, Queens. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial property management experience who is highly organized, proactive, and experienced with Yardi. Salary/Hourly Rate: $30-$33 per hour Position Overview: The Assistant Property Manager will provide administrative and operational support to the property management team, assisting with financial processes, vendor coordination, tenant communications, inspections, and property operations. - Process invoice coding and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with accounts receivable review and tenant follow-up.
- Prepare and process move-out documentation, rent adjustments, and approval paperwork.
- Coordinate vendor contracts, renewals, and tracking.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and contractors.
- Assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate violation documentation and corrective actions.
- Conduct routine property inspections and tenant move-out walkthroughs.
- Participate in vendor site walks and assist with project bid coordination.
- Document property conditions through photos and reports.
- Support emergency response efforts, including pre-storm notifications and post-storm inspections.
- Assist with additional administrative and operational projects as assigned.
- Previous Assistant Property Manager or Property Management experience required.
- Hands-on experience using Yardi required.
- Strong understanding of property management operations and financial processes.
- Experience with invoice coding, accounts receivable, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Commercial real estate property management experience.
- Experience supporting budgets, financial reconciliations, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of property inspections, tenant relations, and facilities coordination.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
