Job Title Senior Scientist Cellular and Spatial Biology Location Cambridge, MA About the Job We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative scientist to join the Target, Disease & Systems Biology (TDSB) department at Sanofi as a Senior Scientist. In this role, you will collaborate across the Pre‑clinical Omics research cluster to investigate disease biology, uncover novel pathways and mechanisms, and identify strategies to address unmet medical needs across a range of therapeutic areas. The position offers the opportunity to apply cutting‑edge molecular biology and spatial technologies to advance our therapeutic discovery efforts. Main Responsibilities Experimental Design & Execution: Design and perform experiments using bulk RNA‑seq, single‑cell/single‑nucleus RNA‑seq (sc/snRNA‑seq), NGS and spatial assays (GeoMx, Visium, Xenium, Phenocycler‑Fusion) on human and non‑human biological samples. Optimize and troubleshoot protocols for molecular and spatial assays. Data Analysis & Interpretation: Collaborate with bioinformatics teams to analyze high‑dimensional omics data. Interpret results to guide therapeutic target identification and validation. Technology Development & Innovation: Evaluate and implement emerging molecular biology and spatial technologies. Contribute to the development of novel workflows and platforms. Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with scientists across biology, chemistry, and computational disciplines. Present findings in internal meetings and contribute to strategic research discussions. Work with Program teams to represent TDSB and suggest TDSB capabilities to push program support. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed experimental records. Prepare technical reports and presentations. About You Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Genomics, Neurobiology or related field with 5+ years of post‑master’s experience, or Ph.D. with 3+ years post‑doctoral experience (academic or industry). Demonstrated expertise in transcriptomics and spatial biology: scRNA‑seq, snRNA‑seq, bulk RNA‑seq, Next‑Gen Sequencing (NGS). Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with spatial transcriptomics platforms (10x Genomics Visium, Xenium, NanoString GeoMx). Experience with spatial proteomics technologies (Akoya CODEX, Phenocycler‑Fusion). Proficiency in tissue handling, imaging, and histological techniques. Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and pipelines for omics data analysis. Benefits Competitive salary range of $100,500.00 – $145,166.66, based on experience.
