Development & Partnerships Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

The Coordinator, Development & Partnerships provides programmatic, administrative, and operational support across the Development & Partnerships department. The department is responsible for advancing organizational growth, sustainability, and mission impact through strategic partnerships, revenue generation, grant-funded initiatives, and cross-sector collaboration.

The Coordinator supports a diverse portfolio of initiatives and partnerships across philanthropic, corporate, nonprofit, higher education, government, and community sectors. Working collaboratively with team members across Development & Partnerships, the Coordinator helps ensure projects remain organized, deadlines and deliverables are tracked, partners receive timely support, and department activities are executed effectively.

This position supports key functions including partnership and stakeholder engagement, grant and contract administration, events and webinars, outreach, project management, partner communications, merchandise and materials management, and department operations. The Coordinator may  also support specific initiatives, including the College Program and other current and emerging partnership efforts, based on departmental priorities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (*ESSENTIAL DUTIES):

 

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of programs and initiatives across the Development & Partnerships department, including partner engagement, grant-funded programs, stakeholder events, outreach activities, and other strategic initiatives .*
• Provide programmatic, administrative, and logistical support to Development & Partnerships staff and department leadership, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, processing invoices and requests, coordinating logistics, and tracking follow-up items. *
• Support project management across department initiatives by maintaining project plans, timelines, assignments, and deliverables using tools such as Monday.com and other department systems. *
• Coordinate and document team and project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas and materials, taking notes, documenting decisions and next steps, and following up on action items. *
• Assist with the planning and execution of partner-facing webinars, trainings, meetings, convenings, conferences, and other engagement opportunities, including registration, presentation materials, technical support, logistics, facilitation support, and post-event follow-up.
• Support department outreach and activation efforts, including campus and community events, conferences, college tour stops, and other partner-facing activities.
• Maintain and support department systems used to track partner, funder, grantee, and stakeholder engagement, including CRM and project management platforms, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. *
• Monitor shared department communication channels and inboxes and ensure inquiries, requests, and opportunities are routed to the appropriate team member in a timely manner. *
• Coordinate internal and external invitations, registration processes, save-the-dates, participant communications, and related logistics for department events, webinars, and meetings. *
• Serve as a point of contact for vendors and contractors as assigned and support associated contracting, payment, fulfillment, and logistical processes.
• Coordinate merchandise and resource inventory for the department, including ordering, tracking inventory, fulfilling partner requests, preparing shipments, monitoring delivery, and coordinating with fulfillment vendors. *
• Collaborate with colleagues across Development & Partnerships and other departments to support cross-functional projects and ensure timely communication, coordination, and completion of deliverables.
• Provide additional programmatic, operational, and administrative support across the Development & Partnerships portfolio as departmental priorities and partnership opportunities evolve.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in program coordination, partnerships, nonprofit programs, grants, public health, community engagement, events, or a related area.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize competing deadlines, and follow projects through completion.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to identify next steps and seek clarification when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and contribute to multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience working with diverse populations, organizations, or communities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; experience with project management and CRM platforms is a plus.
• Ability to travel approximately 5%, including occasional support for conferences, meetings, and partner events.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION   

This position is based in Washington, D.C. with a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two telework days.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

The salary range for this role is starting at $60,000-$62,000 per year on a national basis. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, relevant work experience, skillset, internal equity, location, and certifications, consistent with applicable law. Salary is just one part of our total rewards package which additionally includes performance bonus for eligible roles, and competitive benefits.
