Workers' Compensation Paralegal

Whitecap Search is partnering with an established New Jersey law firm to find a qualified paralegal with specialized experience in workers' compensation. This temporary position, covering a leave of absence, is available for a duration of six weeks and offers the flexibility of fully remote work.

Responsibilities

• Handle workers' compensation claims and manage case files efficiently.
• Manage and organize medical records and treatment documentation.
• Participate in discovery processes, hearings, and conferences.
• Communicate effectively with insurance carriers and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage settlement documentation with precision.
• Maintain a strong understanding of workers' compensation terminology and workflow.
• Manage large caseloads while adhering to strict deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in handling workers' compensation claims and case management.
• Proficiency in managing medical records and treatment documentation.
• Experience with discovery processes, hearings, and conferences.
• Ability to correspond effectively with insurance carriers.
• Expertise in preparing and managing settlement documentation.
• Strong understanding of workers' compensation terminology and workflow.
• Capacity to manage large caseloads and adhere to strict deadlines.
