ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Customer Service Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member with Garion Bunn - State Farm Agent, you will play an important role in taking care of our existing customers and helping our agency build long-lasting relationships. Your primary focus will be providing accurate, responsive, and friendly service while helping customers understand and manage their insurance needs

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused professional who takes pride in helping people and solving problems. This role is primarily focused on servicing and retaining existing customers by providing accurate, responsive, and friendly support.

You will assist customers with policy questions, billing, coverage changes, claims-related guidance, and account updates while following through to make sure their needs are addressed. Attention to detail, communication, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are important to success in this position.

You will also be expected to recognize opportunities to better protect customers and introduce appropriate insurance products or connect them with a team member who can help. Previous insurance experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

COMPENSATION:

$34,000 base salary with opportunities to earn additional compensation through eligible Property & Casualty, Life, and Health insurance sales. This is primarily a customer service position; however, team members can increase their total compensation by identifying customer needs and generating additional business.

TRAINING BONUS:

Earn a $1,000 bonus upon successful completion of the 3-month training and onboarding program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service to existing customers. 
• Assist customers with policy questions, billing inquiries, coverage changes, account updates, and other service needs. 
• Provide guidance and support to customers throughout the claims process when appropriate. 
• Follow up on customer requests and take ownership of issues through resolution. 
• Maintain accurate customer information, documentation, and account records. 
• Build strong customer relationships and contribute to customer retention. 
• Conduct account conversations to identify changes in customer needs and potential coverage gaps. 
• Recognize opportunities for additional insurance products and services and either assist the customer or connect them with the appropriate team member. 
• Work collaboratively with sales and service team members to provide a consistent customer experience. 
• Maintain organization and manage multiple customer requests and priorities throughout the day. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous customer service experience preferred. 
• Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and listening. 
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable communicating with customers by phone, text, email, and in person. 
• Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy. 
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks, follow-ups, and deadlines. 
• Dependable and willing to take ownership of customer needs through resolution. 
• Able to remain patient and professional when handling difficult or frustrated customers. 
• Comfortable identifying customer needs and discussing appropriate insurance products and services. 
• Coachable and willing to receive feedback and continually improve. 
• Previous insurance experience is preferred but not required. 
• Property & Casualty license preferred; must be willing to obtain required insurance licenses.
