Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to an elementary setting, where your skills and compassion will directly impact students with unique learning needs. This part-time contract role begins August 25, 2026, and continues through June 10, 2027, offering approximately 18 hours per week in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You’ll engage with elementary students, focusing on an ABS caseload, and provide vital instructional support to help each student thrive. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, making this an excellent opportunity for educators seeking meaningful part-time work.

Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, preferably in an elementary setting
• Ability to plan, adapt, and deliver individualized instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
• Creative and compassionate approach to student engagement

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on an ABS caseload
• Foster positive, inclusive classroom experiences tailored to elementary learners
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Communicate regularly with families, celebrating successes and addressing challenges
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom climate
