Make an impact guiding young learners with special needs as a Special Education Teacher. This is a contract, part-time position at the elementary level serving an ABS caseload. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through June 2027, with a schedule of roughly 18 hours per week (0.5 FTE), Monday through Friday.

In this role, you'll support students’ academic and social-emotional development, collaborate with a dynamic team of educators, and help create an inclusive and positive learning environment. The campus is conveniently located and fosters a supportive culture.

Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education preferred
• Familiarity with academic, behavioral, and social interventions for elementary students
• Strong communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for ABS caseload
• Modify curriculum and tailor instructional strategies to meet students’ unique needs and abilities
• Work collaboratively with staff, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Monitor and document student growth, progress, and behavior interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to data collection, and comply with federal, state, and district requirements
