Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will provide high-quality care to adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old. This role requires expertise in a fast-paced environment, managing complex medical conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, and renal failure. Responsibilities include the administration and titration of various medications and operating ventilator and monitoring equipment. Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips.
• Read and interpret heart monitoring data using Draeger systems.
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU as needed.
• Participate in Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) and respond to codes.
• Maintain compliance with scrub color/dress code of Navy Blue.

Requirements:

• 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Pass open-book exam on skills during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
• No artificial nails in patient care departments.
• Compliance with a radius rule of 50 miles and specific restrictions regarding employment with associated facilities.
