Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including initial assessments that document clients’ psychological, behavioral, and emotional health to inform tailored treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect clinical findings and integrate evidence-based interventions for optimal outcomes.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions focused on cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and therapeutic communication to foster emotional resilience.

• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to ensure therapeutic efficacy and client satisfaction.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create integrated intervention strategies and manage clients’ referrals for additional services.

• Proactively follow up with clients, caregivers, and medical practitioners, particularly for those who may require hospital admission or additional mental health resources.
\n
• Maintain awareness of and address potential barriers to clients' recovery processes, advocating for their needs within the broader healthcare system.
\n
• Provide support and guidance to families and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to effectively manage the mental health challenges of their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide array of mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression, addiction, and trauma-related issues. You will be instrumental in developing a safe environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings and to work towards recovery and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms, for documentation and progress tracking.
\n
• Strong knowledge of the behavioral health landscape and familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, with demonstrated success in providing therapeutic interventions in various modalities.

• Background in managing clients with co-occurring physical health conditions and addiction disorders, ideally in community health settings.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with clients and their families.

• Understanding of the effects of pharmacotherapy and the ability to work collaboratively with medical providers to enhance client care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The offered salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
