Description

• Assess patients within pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting immediate objectives alongside long-term cognitive, communication, or swallowing necessities.
• Facilitate personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care strategies.
• Offer education for patients and families to enhance progress outside of clinical encounters.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing seamless care throughout the patient's treatment arc.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continual education and collaborative peer interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet awarded ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
