Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations using a variety of standardized assessments tailored for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients.
- Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing aspirations.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
- Engage with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to create a holistic approach to care.
- Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support ongoing progress in day-to-day settings.
- Undertake occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the care continuum.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation that adheres to organizational, state, and federal standards.
- Commit to ongoing professional development by staying abreast of advancements in the field through education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches across age spectrums, particularly in developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills fostering connections with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to adapt therapeutic techniques to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
