Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, providing flexibility while working for a community health clinic framework designed to address the mental health needs of inmates. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners, all dedicated to providing comprehensive care. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend duties to ensure comprehensive coverage of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of inmates, integrating insights from personal history and presenting concerns to create an accurate psychological profile.

• Collaborate with inmates to develop personalized treatment plans that target mental health issues and incorporate strategies for emotional healing and community reintegration.

• Utilize and apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care techniques, tailored to address diverse mental health conditions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote emotional regulation, personal growth, and effective coping strategies for inmates.

• Work closely with other mental health professionals to ensure holistic care and coordinate interventions effectively.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques as necessary.

• Educate inmates and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding and involvement in care.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation related to assessments, treatment plans, and progress, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Your primary focus will be on the incarcerated population within our correctional facility, which presents unique challenges in mental healthcare. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the state of California.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this full-time position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 yearly, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
