About the Role:

The Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support seamless business operations. This position ensures that all inventory transactions, including shipping, receiving, and sales orders, are accurately recorded and reconciled within the ERP system. The specialist collaborates closely with production and warehouse teams to align inventory availability with production schedules, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations. By maintaining precise inventory records and utilizing bar code technology, the role supports efficient order fulfillment and timely delivery to customers. Ultimately, the Inventory Control Specialist contributes to optimizing supply chain efficiency and enhancing overall operational productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Proven experience in inventory control, shipping and receiving, or a related field.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and bar code scanning technology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with production scheduling and sales order processing.
• Familiarity with advanced inventory management software and reporting tools.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data and trends.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels by accurately processing shipping and receiving transactions.
• Maintain and update inventory records within the ERP system to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to align inventory availability with production schedules and sales orders.
• Utilize bar code scanning technology to track inventory movement and verify stock counts.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential shortages, and excess stock, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and support operational demands.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to resolve inventory-related issues.
