Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based techniques.

• Implement diverse therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and brief solution-focused therapy, that are tailored to client needs.

• Facilitate group and family therapy sessions, offering support and guidance while fostering healthy communication and coping strategies.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care that addresses various aspects of client well-being.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and training, to stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health treatments and therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At BJC Wellness Center, you will work primarily with diverse populations who may have limited access to mental health services. This includes individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. Your role will center on developing safety, trust, and rapport with clients, helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida is mandatory.

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in counseling, with a preference for candidates with experience in community mental health settings.

• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health practice.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
