Benefits Manager

Title Benefits Manager Location Florham Park, NJ Schedule Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home) Responsibilities Serve as subject matter expert in health & welfare benefits, life and disability, retirement plans, etc. Support the design, implementation, ongoing evaluation and administration of benefit programs, policies and strategies to ensure competitiveness and compliance with local, state and federal requirements; enforce adherence to requirements and advise management of any needed actions. Develop and present ideas to improve effectiveness, build efficiencies, and proactively enhance the delivery of benefit programs. Partner with HRIS, Payroll and HRBPs, and other cross‑functional teams to implement and execute the operational aspects of benefits. Own the annual Open Enrollment cycle, including employee communication and training, system testing and reporting. Act as a project manager on benefit initiatives such as annual benefit renewals. Prepare all required benefit plan audits, testing and timely filings (ACA, 5500s, non‑discrimination, annual disclosures, etc.). Lead, manage and train a small team of professionals; provide coaching and training, set goals, evaluate performance, plan staff assignments and development. Prepare special reports by gathering, analyzing, summarizing and presenting information on benefit trends. Maintain working knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance and labor contracts that may affect benefit policies. Support merger and acquisition activities and implementation. Efficient vendor management. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields of study. 5+ years’ experience with benefit plans and analysis, including vendor management and renewal negotiations. Strong knowledge of 401(k) plan management. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations to ensure plan compliance (e.g., ERISA, DOL, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, Paid Family Leave, etc.). Strong presentation, persuasion, and collaborative skills to build and maintain proactive involvement with all levels within the organization. Strong analytical skill set in MS Excel and PowerPoint with ability to interpret and present data. Strong business acumen to align both business objectives and HR strategies with corporate goals to maximize shareholder value. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. Ability to reach, squat, bend, and manually manipulate standard office equipment. Ability to drive to various locations. Ability to reason, analyze and think critically. Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action. Benefits In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $118,700.00 – $169,800.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
