- Assess trends across sports, media, technology, AI, consumer behavior, and adjacent industries, and translate them into clear strategic implications for the NFL.
- Identify and evaluate new growth platforms, business models, strategic partnerships, market opportunities, and other sources of long-term value creation.
- Develop scenarios, strategic frameworks, and decision materials that help senior leadership evaluate choices under uncertainty.
- Synthesize business unit strategies, financial plans, market developments, and enterprise priorities into a coherent long-range plan.
- Translate strategic direction into clear priorities, recommendations, and actionable plans.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations and recommendations for senior leadership and, as appropriate, ownership-facing audiences.
- Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis and Corporate Finance to connect strategic priorities with financial planning, investment decisions, and resource allocation.
- Establish approaches for assessing progress against enterprise priorities and major strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership and business unit leaders on high-priority business questions and enterprise challenges.
- Lead selected internal strategy engagements and cross-functional initiatives, structuring ambiguous problems, directing analysis, and developing practical recommendations.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, growth platforms, and operating models, including the development of business cases and market assessments.
- Provide an independent enterprise perspective and help ensure that major initiatives and investments align with broader League priorities.
- Work closely with the 32 Equity team to identify and evaluate investment themes, market developments, and strategic opportunities relevant to the League.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of corporate strategy professionals, setting clear standards for analytical rigor, business judgment, and executive communication.
- Continuously improve the effectiveness, analytical rigor, and stakeholder engagement of the League's long-range planning and corporate strategy processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with MBA preferred and 12+ years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, corporate development, finance, or a related field.
- Significant experience developing enterprise strategy, leading long-range planning, or addressing major growth and transformation questions within a complex organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a long-term strategic perspective and translate it into clear priorities, decisions, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong understanding of how market, competitive, technological, financial, and consumer developments affect enterprise strategy and long-term value creation.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, and financial problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify the critical issues within complex and ambiguous situations.
- Experience advising senior executives and developing materials for executive leadership, boards, ownership groups, or other governance bodies.
- Proven ability to lead complex planning processes and cross-functional initiatives involving senior stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to translate external trends and emerging developments into differentiated strategic insights.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
