Work Environment

The Pediatric PTA will work onsite in our advanced hospital setting, equipped with state-of-the-art resources and support. The hospital fosters a collaborative and enthusiastic work environment, emphasizing teamwork among physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will find yourself in a dynamic atmosphere where your contributions directly influence the physical therapy process, making each day fulfilling and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing customized treatment plans that cater specifically to the developmental needs of pediatric patients.
• Provide direct, hands-on therapeutic care to children, including guiding exercises, assisting with mobility training, and conducting strengthening activities tailored to individual capabilities.
• Monitor and document patient progress, promptly reporting observations and adjustments to the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure optimized care strategies.
• Engage and educate families, equipping them with knowledge and resources to support their child's rehabilitation journey, including the creation of home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and health regulations while utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Actively collaborate with a multidisciplinary therapy team and participate in case discussions to align on patient goals and approaches.
• Support, motivate, and encourage young patients throughout their rehabilitation process to foster a positive and engaging therapy experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on pediatric patients, ranging from infants to adolescents, who present various orthopedic and developmental challenges. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid Nevada state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.

• Ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting with an emphasis on pediatric physical therapy is preferred, though not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

Suncrest Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, complemented by performance-based incentives.
