Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. This includes updating patient records and maintaining clear documentation.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and physical modalities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This may involve hands-on assistance with activities designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, including exercises they can do at home to bolster recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist for ongoing adjustments to treatment plans.
• Ensure the rehabilitation environment is safe and conducive to healing by maintaining equipment and reporting any safety issues promptly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population typically includes individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation. You will have the opportunity to work primarily with elderly patients in skilled nursing facilities, contributing to their recovery and enhancing their overall well-being. Your role will be crucial in supporting this demographic to regain their independence and mobility.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree related to Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Possess an active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Nevada without restrictions.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with elderly populations and other patient demographics requiring rehabilitation services.
• Ability to practice physical therapy in compliance with all relevant state and federal guidelines.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation center is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome new graduates and those beginning their PTA careers.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems, specifically SNF documentation software such as Net Health or Casamba.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
