Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' mental health and emotional well-being to gather critical information for treatment planning.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that define goals and objectives in collaboration with clients, regularly updating these plans to reflect progress.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions with clients of various ages, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges.

• Provide couples counseling aimed at enhancing communication skills, resolving conflicts, and building stronger relational foundations.

• Utilize effective therapeutic techniques grounded in evidence-based practices throughout the Engagement, Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation phases of care.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment protocols, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Offer crisis intervention for clients in acute distress, providing timely support during emergencies.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training, remaining current with the latest research and best practices in marriage and family therapy.

• Advocate for clients' rights, empowering them to take an active role in their treatment decisions.

• Promote self-care practices among clients and model these behaviors to maintain personal resilience among therapists.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele served at Great Lake Counseling & Coaching Center ranges from adolescents grappling with developmental challenges to adults and couples facing complex emotional and relational issues. Our therapists are equipped to address a wide array of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is mandatory.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the appropriate State Board is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting therapy sessions with individuals and/or couples.

• Excellent organizational skills for the timely completion of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on maintaining clear and accurate client records.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in a telehealth setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
