HR Generalist

Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations at their Parsippany facility. This role handles a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with state and federal employment regulations.

The HR Generalist will serve as a point of contact for employees and managers on policy questions, onboarding, and performance management processes. This position works closely with the HR Manager to maintain accurate personnel records and support recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions.

This is an on-site role requiring regular interaction with plant supervisors and production staff. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs including enrollment and claims support
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation sessions
• Support recruitment efforts including posting jobs and screening candidates
• Investigate and document employee relations issues
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other employment regulations
• Assist with performance review cycles and documentation
• Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum 2 years of HR generalist experience
• Working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP or Workday
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
