Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required, high-risk experience preferred License: Current Registered Nursing license Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP required; AWHONN Advanced, FHM, STABLE preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Must be able to work 3x12 night shifts and take call as required Description: The Labor and Delivery unit features private labor and delivery rooms as well as dedicated triage rooms and operating rooms for cesarean sections. The unit is equipped to handle obstetric emergencies with rapid access protocols. Nurses work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless care for high-acuity obstetric patients. This includes managing high-risk pregnancies and maternal medical complications. Dedicated support services are available to assist patients and families with complex needs. Postpartum care is provided in a separate unit to ensure focused care for acute patients. As a teaching facility, this opportunity allows nurses to collaborate with specialists and trainees in an academic environment. Nurses will gain valuable experience while caring for a diverse patient population. The unit utilizes advanced technology for monitoring and care, ensuring comprehensive support for both mothers and infants. Candidates should possess skills in a variety of obstetric interventions and maintain a high standard of patient care.
