Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, providing flexibility while allowing you to connect with students and families in a productive and supportive manner. You will work collaboratively with educators, school staff, and other mental health professionals to address the needs of the student population. While working from home, you will engage in regular virtual meetings and training sessions to ensure seamless communication and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of students' psychosocial needs by evaluating emotional, social, and mental health factors.

• Implementing targeted intervention strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring they can thrive in a school environment.

• Providing counseling and emotional support to students and their families, addressing issues such as anxiety, bullying, and family dynamics.
\n
• Advocating for students’ rights and access to necessary resources, including educational supports and community services.
\n
• Collaborating with teachers and school administration to develop action plans that promote students' academic success and emotional well-being.
\n
• Facilitating workshops and informational sessions for parents, educating them about available resources and strategies to support their child’s development.
\n
• Maintaining accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, practicing confidentiality and ethical standards in all communications.

• Regularly revisiting and updating care plans based on student progress and changing needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will primarily focus on students within the school system, ranging from early childhood to high school age. You will work with diverse demographics, addressing issues varying from social challenges to mental health crises. Our objective is to provide timely interventions that lead to positive academic and social outcomes for these youth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Current and valid LMSW licensure in the state of Texas is necessary.
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience in a social work role is preferred, especially in educational or community settings.
\n
• Strong knowledge of social work principles, child development, and the socio-emotional issues affecting students today.
\n
• Exceptional counseling, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to empathize and engage with students and their families effectively.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual communication tools.

Preferred Experience\n

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working within school systems or community-based programs that support youth and families. Understanding of trauma-informed care practices is highly regarded, as is experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
