Finance Manager — Nonprofit | Temp-to-Hire

Washington, DC | Hybrid

$62.50–$72.12/hour DOE

Anticipated permanent salary: $130,000–$150,000 DOE

\n

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our nonprofit clients for an experienced nonprofit accounting professional to fill a hands-on Finance Manager role. The position begins as a full-time temporary assignment, with potential for permanent employment.

\n

Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will supervise a Senior Accountant and manage the daily relationship with an outsourced accounting firm. Your work will include month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR oversight, restricted-fund and grant accounting, internal controls, and audit coordination.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and eight or more years of progressive accounting experience.
\n
• Nonprofit accounting experience and working knowledge of Sage Intacct.
\n
• At least two years supervising staff, including experience managing hybrid teams.
\n
• Strong Excel skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
\n

CPA strongly preferred. Commitment to civil rights, racial justice, and equity is essential.
