Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use disorders, effectively identifying co-occurring conditions.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of compliance with treatment.

• Participate actively in case conferences and training sessions, building knowledge in the treatment of co-occurring disorders for continuous professional development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based therapies specifically tailored for co-occurring disorders, including techniques such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of fostering effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to enhance client outcomes.
