This role will be conducted entirely via telehealth, allowing you to provide therapy from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' symptoms and mental health histories to evaluate the severity of mood disorders they are experiencing.

• Collaborate with clients to establish individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address and treat mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote overall wellbeing.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes tailored to each individual.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, promoting a holistic approach to mental health support.

• Stay informed on the latest research and trends in mental health treatment, implementing new strategies to improve therapeutic practices.

• Maintain accurate records, adhering to ethical and legal standards in documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to continually enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients and work towards reducing the stigma associated with mood disorders, fostering awareness and understanding in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with clients experiencing mood disorders, including conditions such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. You will be instrumental in offering compassionate support and evidence-based treatment options that empower clients to manage their mental health effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience preferably focused on treating mood disorders.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Strong foundational knowledge of psychopharmacology as it pertains to mood disorder treatments.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of direct experience with mood disorders is preferred, candidates with diverse clinical backgrounds who are eager to learn and adapt to new methodologies will also be considered. Familiarity with telehealth technology and protocols is an advantage as we prioritize effective virtual communication.
