Physician Assistant | Surgery - Trauma Location: Robbinsdale, MN Employer: SalviaCore Solutions Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Responsibilities Function as a trauma hospitalist rounder, performing daily rounding and comprehensive management of all patient conditions. Respond to the Emergency Department for trauma alerts and trauma activations. Manage ER admissions and facilitate patient discharges. Perform intermittent ED consultations and various surgical or trauma procedures as needed. Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and tracking. Work autonomously with the 24-hour support of an on-site Trauma Surgeon. Provide care for patients across the lifespan, with a primary focus on adult and adolescent populations. Qualifications & Credentialing Board Certification: Must be a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C). Please note that Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) are not eligible for this role. Licensure: A valid Minnesota State License is required at the time of name clear. Experience: A minimum of one year of practice as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an inpatient setting is required. Optimal candidates will have experience in trauma, ICU, and/or orthopedics. Certifications: Active ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications are required. Compliance: An active DEA is required, with verbal confirmation at the time of name clear. A Self-Query NPDB report must be provided at the time of presentation and must be pulled within the same month as the submission. Clinical Skills: Proficiency in ventilation management (including BiPAP/CPAP), chest tube insertion, central lines, arterial lines, and suturing minor lacerations is preferred.
