Accounting Supervisor

Kforce's client, a growing organization in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting, and lead a team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, improving processes, and delivering timely financial information to support business decisions. The client offers salary and good benefits, casual culture, and jean attire is permitted. This is a hybrid position in the Saint Louis, MO area. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, assigning work and managing daily workflow
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Develop, implement, and improve accounting procedures, controls, and reporting processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance the accuracy of financial data
• Partner with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and support business initiatives
• Research complex accounting matters and provide recommendations to management
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, and special projects as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous experience leading or supervising accounting staff
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• CPA designation preferred
• Experience in inventory and/or manufacturing environments preferred
