The work setting for this role is primarily remote, offering you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from your preferred location. However, you will also have the opportunity to utilize our outpatient office in Mount Vernon, New York, to meet patients who benefit from in-person interactions. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Youth Village Counseling Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status and their care needs, using DSM-5 criteria and other appropriate tools to inform your individualized treatment plans.

• Monitoring and documenting patients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting interventions based on their evolving needs and effectiveness of care.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date treatment records and clinical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborating closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to create and implement comprehensive, culturally sensitive treatment plans.

• Providing education about mental health, symptom management, and coping strategies to patients and their families, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

• Engaging in continuous professional development and participating in peer reviews, clinical supervision, and mentoring for less experienced staff, interns, or volunteers.

• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and coordinate care strategies, ensuring a holistic approach is taken in every case.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse group of patients, ranging from adolescents to adults, who face a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license from the State Board of Social Work Licensure.

Preferred Experience\n

Although not mandatory, candidates with 6 months to 1 year of clinical experience in mental health settings, particularly with outpatient services or crisis intervention programs, will be preferred. Experience working with diverse populations or specialized populations (such as children and adolescents) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
