About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Operations and Housing Development to provide essential leadership in the start-up, development, and ongoing operation of facilities that support affordable housing programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for property and fiscal oversight, policy and procedure development, staff management, and maintaining relationships with community members and stakeholders. This role involves implementing and revising operational systems, evaluating job functions, and ensuring the efficiency of property operations. The VP will also be involved in the development of new properties, managing property portfolios, and coordinating with various professionals to ensure that construction and capital projects are on schedule. Candidates for the VP position should have a Master's degree preferred or a BA/BS in business, management, real estate development, or non-profit management, with a minimum of 5 years' of experience in management within the housing development or property management sector. Experience working with adults facing mental health, substance use, or homelessness issues is also required. The role demands strong computer skills, the ability to pass a criminal background check, and a commitment to the values of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving abilities, technical skills, ethics, and a proactive approach to their work. They should be adept at planning, organizing, and have a proven track record of quality and quantity in their work.
