About the Role
The Company is seeking a Regional Vice President of Development for Affordable Housing. This senior leadership role is pivotal in leading the execution and growth of a regional affordable housing development pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for all phases of the development process, from sourcing and feasibility to construction completion and stabilization. Key responsibilities include originating and structuring new affordable and mixed-income housing opportunities, negotiating business terms, overseeing financial aspects, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role also involves leading a team, fostering collaboration, and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' commercial real estate development experience, with a focus on affordable housing projects. A strong background in managing complex multifamily or affordable housing developments and a deep understanding of affordable housing finance structures are essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, team management, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree in a related field. The role demands a strategic leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is adept at maintaining awareness of affordable housing policy, financing trends, and market conditions.
