Be a part of the Insight Chicago team that provides patient care second to none!/ppUnder the supervision of the Manager, Accounting, the Payroll Specialist processes bi-weekly payrolls, supplemental payrolls, and prepare payroll related files (including but not limited to payroll taxes, garnishment, child support, etc.) for submission to bank and/or other agencies. The Payroll Specialist will also perform other payroll-related duties./ppThese duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests./ph3Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliProcesses payroll information, e.g. hourly time sheets, withholding information, benefits, garnishment calculations, etc. to provide input to check generation system/liliInterface from Kronos to Lawson/liliResearch discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation, e.g. W-4 forms, time sheets, etc. for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing/liliReconcile reports such as medical insurance payments, 401K deductions, etc to ensure accuracy of information/liliResponds to payroll related written and verbal inquiries, e.g. garnishments, payroll processes, etc/liliPrepare reports, filings, correspondence and other written materials, e.g. payroll reports, W-2s, 941, etc. to provide written reference and comply with state federal requirements./liliPerforms all other payroll related duties as assigned./li/ulh3Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/h3ulliHigh School Diploma required. Associate degree in accounting or similar business fields preferred./liliStrong working experience and knowledge in electronic time-and-attendance software preferred/liliPrevious Kronos and Lawson experience preferred./liliPrevious training and education in Payroll and accounting related curriculum is required/liliStrong knowledge of federal state payroll/tax related regulations preferred/liliGood PC skills including proficiency in Excel preferred./liliGood verbal and written communication skills (to respond to various inquiries and prepare written correspondences when needed) required./liliGood interpersonal skill and be able to work well with others in different levels (managers, staff, etc.) preferred/liliAbility to deal sensitively with confidential material and be able to work with large quantity of complex information required/liliStrong work ethic required./liliBe able to work well under pressure to meet internal and external (bank / government) deadlines preferred/li/ulpInsight Employees are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to accommodation for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.
