Palantir Platform Lead

Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to support our product engineering. This collaborative role allows you to wear multiple hats and work closely with our product. As a member of the engineering team, you will expand your skill set across our product line and leverage Palantir Foundry as CHAOS’s internal data operating platform. You will build, maintain, and optimize end‑to‑end workflows and pipelines that manage sensor, operational, and enterprise data, ensuring reliable, scalable infrastructure that directly enables mission outcomes. The role is central to delivering the CHAOS Operating System in Foundry, a unified data backbone that connects engineering, operations, and manufacturing. Responsibilities Design and build Foundry‑based pipelines and workflows, enabling ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data for both engineering and operational users. Define major parts of our data and backend architecture, including choice of frameworks and systems. Build and maintain our data infrastructure, real‑time data processing, data transportation, and backend services. Collaborate closely with product, system, software, and hardware engineers to integrate data flows into mission workflows. Mentor other engineers as the team grows and work with engineering leadership to define longer‑term roadmaps. Work three or more days per week out of our office in San Francisco (Market Street) or Los Angeles (Hawthorne). Minimum Requirements Minimum of 2+ years of experience in professional, object‑oriented software development. Experience with Python, SQL data warehouses, and NoSQL systems. Experience building, testing, and supporting major systems in production. Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or workflows in Palantir Foundry or other enterprise data platforms. Preferred Requirements Experience with Palantir Foundry. Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms. Experience with 2D and 3D visualization, ideally in defense use cases.
