Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 DOE


A long-standing Fresno-based construction and service company is seeking an experienced bookkeeping professional to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations that keep the business running smoothly. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and seamless coordination across multiple departments.
The Opportunity
This role exists to provide full ownership of the company's accounting and bookkeeping functions. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage everything from transactional accounting to financial reporting, serving as a trusted resource for ownership and operational leadership. You'll work closely with company leaders, outside CPA partners, vendors, and internal staff while maintaining visibility into the financial health of the organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in accuracy, and values being a key contributor within a close-knit team.
What You'll Do
• Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activity
• Prepare monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
• Review banking activity, cash flow, and account balances to ensure financial accuracy
• Partner with ownership and external accounting partners during month-end, year-end, and audit-related activities
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of full charge bookkeeping, accounting, or related accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and reconciliations
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software systems
• Construction, service-based, contracting, or similar industry experience preferred
