If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a Consulting Construction Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role involves a wide range of tasks, such as data entry, record keeping, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable, and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Responsibilities: As a Consulting Construction Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for: 1. Overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and maintaining accurate aging reports.
2. Conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger.
3. Assisting with payroll functions, including processing, payment, and record keeping.
4. Working with vendors, ensuring all expenses are coded and matched correctly.
5. Performing data entry tasks and utilizing Microsoft Office and Excel to maintain records and create reports.
6. Utilizing a ten-key calculator to ensure accurate data entry and record keeping.
7. Managing time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
8. Assisting with cost control procedures, including the preparation and analysis of costing reports.
9. Performing other duties as assigned, including special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required. Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
3. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and aging reports.
4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
6. Strong data entry skills, with experience using a ten-key calculator.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Experience with payroll processing, vendor management, and expense coding.
