Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations for Charlotte Community Health Clinic and will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining detailed and organized financial records, managing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annually close processes, and enforcing compliance with company policies. Position will assist and serve as back up for the Controller as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial close processes.
• Monitor cash flow to support effective capital management and forecasting.
• Maintain general ledger to ensure thorough documentation and record-keeping.
• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations to promote timely and accurate processes.
• Prepare and present financial reports for the CFO and to other Leadership Team members.
• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Act as liaison between external auditors and CCHC, coordinating requests and facilitating processes.
• Utilize knowledge of GAAP for consistency, accuracy, transparency, and compliance in reporting.
• Develop, implement, and oversee internal controls for fraud prevention and error reduction.
• Assist the CFO and Controller with financial audits and filing taxes.
• Assist the CFO with developing, editing, and maintaining the annual budget.
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation and investigate/resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Ensure and maintain compliance with CCHC's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and present recommendations to the CFO to increase productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and more detailed reporting.

Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience; Minimum of 5 years within the accounting/finance field; Experience with financial audits, close processes, forecasting, financial reporting, and budgeting; Experience with accounting software such as Blackbaud Financial Edge; Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

PREFERRED: Active CPA license; Previous experience in the non-profit sector and/or within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) strongly desired.

• Must be flexible and willing to pivot for critical deliverables.
• Polished and professional demeanor.
