Bluebird is a nationwide physical security integrator. We design and install video, access control, and intrusion systems for multi-site clients across the country.

Drive our project management team to deliver exceptional service on every project, through our proven framework, while hitting the numbers this company runs on.

\n

\n

In practice that means the margin we sold is the margin we keep, and the client comes back for the next project.

\n

\n

What You Own

\n

\n

\n
• The project management team. Hiring, training, coaching, and removing the ones who will not hold the standard. This is a people leadership job first.
\n
• Whether the bench can absorb what we sell. How much each PM is carrying, when we are at the ceiling, and when we need to hire.
\n
• What a ready project looks like. You and our account executives agree on what a project needs before it goes on the schedule, and you close the gaps together when something comes up short.
\n
• The numbers. Delivered margin against sold margin. On-time completion against the date committed at handoff. Change orders signed before the work happens.
\n
• Every red job, before anyone asks you about it.
\n

What You Do Not Own

\n

\n

You will not manage technicians. Field crews come through our Network of technicians, and the project manager on the job sources them. Pricing and quota belong to our account executives. You will see both the client price and the job cost on every project, and your read on both matters, but you will not be the one setting them.

How We Run Projects

\n

\n

• Frequent communication. Every open job gets a written client update on a set cadence, news or no news. Bad news goes out the day we learn it.
\n
• Repeatable process. One board structure, one kickoff, one punch process, one closeout. Not one per project manager.
\n
• Continuous training. We run our own training platform for project managers, and every expensive field mistake becomes a lesson so we pay for it once.

Who This Is For

\n

• You drive teams. This is the one we will not flex on. You can tell us what a team was producing when you took it over, what it was producing when you left, and what you changed in between. In numbers.
\n
• You have worked in B2B. Past that we are open on industry. We will teach you the work. Nobody here is going to teach you how to run a team.
\n
• You have managed project managers, not only projects. You have developed one into a program lead and removed one who was never going to get there.
\n
• You are a player and a coach. When the bench is thin you pick up two or three projects and run them yourself.
\n
• You work well with salespeople, and you have told an AE what you could not deliver before the date was promised.
\n
• You have managed people you do not see. You already know how you would find out a PM is in trouble before the client tells you, and the answer is not that they would call you.
\n
• When a project goes badly, the first name you say is your own.
\n

We are asset-light on purpose, which means fewer people carrying more. The role is home-based anywhere in the Eastern or Central time zone, and you will be in the field with your project managers and on client sites. Do not take this job if you want a large team to hide inside, or if you would rather report a problem than solve it.
