Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation center located in Dulles, Virginia. The facility is designed to foster healing and includes dedicated spaces for a variety of therapeutic interventions. You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who collaborate closely to enhance patient outcomes. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday with a 40-hour work week, allowing for a balance between professional commitment and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, using your expertise to assess physical conditions and identify treatment needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on individual assessments that address specific patient goals and conditions.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate patient recovery, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and caregivers regarding exercises, health management, and injury prevention, ensuring that they understand the importance of their rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with your team to optimize treatment approaches, ensuring that patient care is holistic and aligned with best practices.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and keep abreast of new developments in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Lumturi, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification and maintenance of any other necessary credentials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to foster trusting relationships with patients to encourage engagement and adherence to treatment plans.
• A genuine enthusiasm for connecting with clients and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years' experience is required, candidates with specialized training or certifications in areas such as sports therapy, pediatric care, or neurologic rehabilitation will be given preference. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and prior experience in multidisciplinary teams will also be considered assets.

Compensation and Benefits
