Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours. Our remote school-based practice emphasizes favorable engagement strategies tailored to students' unique challenges. Although you will operate off-site, you will coordinate closely with school personnel, parents, and community resources to ensure seamless service delivery to the students we serve.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments on students to identify and understand their mental health needs, concerns, strengths, and available resources.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to each student's circumstances.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including school psychologists, teachers, and administrators, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with students’ educational goals.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups that empower students to express their feelings and develop positive coping strategies.

• Offer crisis intervention services, conduct risk assessments, and develop safety plans to address urgent mental health issues among students.

• Maintain accurate, on-time documentation following ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.

• Engage in ongoing communication with parents and caregivers to provide updates and recommendations for supporting their children's mental health at home.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is working with students from diverse backgrounds within the school system, addressing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral issues. The position involves tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet individual children's needs, fostering resilience and social-emotional skills to enhance their academic and personal success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, preferably focused on youth or school-based services.
