Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients, ensuring individualized care plans.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

• Provide continuous education and emotional support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Monitor client progress meticulously, adapting treatment plans as needed to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to maintain an integrated approach to client care.

• Stay informed on the latest advancements in mood disorder research to enhance treatment effectiveness and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your clients may also include vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, requiring not only clinical expertise but also a compassionate and understanding approach. Your work will be crucial in helping these individuals navigate their challenges and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is a must.
