Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders, including evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Create personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s individual needs, aspirations, and therapeutic goals.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate healing and personal growth.

• Provide psycho-education to clients and their families, explaining mood disorders and their implications for treatment and management.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress with the goal of making timely adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to deliver integrated care that addresses the comprehensive needs of clients.

• Stay informed of recent developments in the field of mood disorder therapies to continually enhance treatment methodologies.

• Ensure meticulous documentation and maintain confidentiality of client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, staff meetings, and continuing education workshops.

• Actively advocate for mental health awareness and support client engagement in community resources for additional support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients are diverse, spanning various demographics and backgrounds. You will work specifically with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients may also have co-occurring issues related to trauma, domestic violence, or socioeconomic challenges, and require a therapist who is empathetic, insightful, and dedicated to fostering healing through therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients.

• Demonstrated empathy, a nonjudgmental attitude, and cultural sensitivity towards clients' unique experiences and struggles.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively for optimum workload management.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in outpatient settings or community mental health programs is preferred. Familiarity with treating mood disorders and conducting group therapy sessions would be a distinct advantage.
