This remote position allows therapists to conduct sessions in clients' homes or through virtual platforms. Schedule flexibility is crucial, with availability primarily required during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), alongside potential weekend hours. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on therapy modalities that align with evidence-based practices.

• Provide targeted interventions addressing issues such as anger management, coping mechanisms, and the development of social skills, aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors like self-injury and aggression.

• Enhance decision-making skills in both youth and caregivers to effectively address and manage behavioral challenges at home.

• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and various professionals in related fields to coordinate care for children and families.

• Maintain meticulous documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring all records are submitted within prescribed timelines.

• Attend and actively participate in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, treatment strategies, and provide recommendations based on observed progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role involves working with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. Therapists will assist a diverse clientele that reflects varied cultural backgrounds, particularly serving Spanish and Portuguese-speaking families. This engagement requires cultural competence and an understanding of multilingual contexts to provide empathetic and effective therapeutic support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related discipline is required.

• An active and unrestricted License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• Ability to commit to a minimum of 5-10 hours of clinical work per week, predominantly during after-school hours, with a willingness to work some weekends.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are essential for accessing clients in the community.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required before employment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
