Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy and group sessions, either in-home or virtually, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic practices.

• Develop specialized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child and their family, emphasizing anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team, including other therapists, psychiatrists, and social workers, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, including intake evaluations, treatment updates, and progress notes, in our electronic health record system.
\n
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to treatment planning discussions and sharing insights to enhance client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population consists of children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are facing developmental and intellectual challenges. This role is ideal for therapists who are passionate about helping special needs children and their families achieve their therapeutic goals. Bilingual therapists (Spanish or Portuguese) are highly encouraged to apply, as communication in a client's preferred language enhances the therapy experience and outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field.

• A valid and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• A commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in therapy practice.

• Flexibility to work weekends and after-school hours, ideally between 4 PM to 7 PM, for a minimum of 5-10 hours each week.

• Prior experience utilizing positive behavior support strategies in therapeutic contexts.

• Experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, fostering an understanding of their unique needs and behaviors.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel to various client locations may be necessary.

Compensation and Benefits\n
