You can learn more about AGL Credit Management on our website at: Finance Team Overview AGL Credit Management\'s Finance Department is responsible for both AGL fund entities and AGL Management company entities. The responsibilities cover investors’ reporting, financial reporting, tax planning, regulatory compliance reporting and any other ad hoc projects for investors and marketing initiatives. The finance department works with the funds’ and the management company’s third-party administrators to process and approve capital events (capital calls and distributions), investor’s economic and tax allocations, review of all financial statements, reconciling of accounting system between administrator and shadow accounting, and providing technical accounting expertise to senior management. Additional responsibilities include preparation and review of financial statements, regulatory filings, monitoring of third-party service providers, preparation of board materials, budget and tax planning, and enhancing controls and efficiencies in all processes. This role will be part of a five-person team and will interact with Operations, Legal and Marketing as well as other areas of the Firm. AGL Management Company Accounting & Reporting Responsibilities AGL Management company has three distinct legal entities, and the financial reporting is prepared on a consolidated and combined basis. The incumbent is expected to understand the tax and legal reasons for the structural setup Review journal entries on a monthly basis for each entity, such journal entries would include recording the accrued management fee and incentive fee, interest on the repo financing, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and UBT and Corporate tax accruals Review detailed incentive schedule based on revenue recognition rule as well as the management reporting requirement Review journal entries for all AGL GP’s investment earnings and AGL’s direct investment earnings, such journal entries would include both unrealized mark to market investment balance fluctuation and properly recording the distribution proceeds from various investments sources Prepare/review work papers for AGL’s monthly financial statements Compare financial results with budgetary results to determine if budget modifications are required for future planning purposes Understand GAAP stock compensation requirements and impact on AGL’s P/R units Understand the impact of foreign exchange translation gain/loss on the operating result Research technical issues such as consolidation issues (ASC 810), income recognition on collateralized loan obligations (ASC 325) and how to account for secured repurchase agreement (ASC 860); summarize research and communicate the impact on AGL’s financial reporting Understand intercompany transactions and expense allocations amongst various legal entities Continuously develop and document business processes and accounting policies to accommodate changes, maintain and strengthen internal controls and improve efficiencies Complete any other ad hoc reporting requirements or requests from either the management team or an institutional investor Tax and Other Reporting Responsibilities Coordinate with third party to prepare tax estimates and final K-1s Determine if any tax distribution is needed based on tax estimates Research technical issues on new tax policies and impact to AGL shareholders if needed and be able to summarize and communicate to management Project AGL UBT and Corporate tax payment in advance to manage AGL cash flow budgeting Coordinate audit and tax timeline with external auditors for all funds and AGL management company entities Desired Experience Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA required 8-10 years’ experience with well-rounded accounting and analytical mindset Public and/or Private company background preferred, focused on hedge funds / private equity funds Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively Strive for efficiency and effectiveness Excellent interpersonal skills and successful experience working within a team Highly motivated and driven to succeed in a challenging environment Have desire to learn and adapt to changes Excellent data analysis and Excel skills Employee Benefits To ensure AGL achieves best in class results, it fosters a culture and environment that reinforces the values of integrity, teamwork, collaboration, intellectual curiosity and continual improvement and learning. Work Arrangement: AGL currently operates on a hybrid work schedule, with employees in the Manhattan office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and working remotely on Monday and Friday. Compensation & Benefits: Base Salary for this role is anticipated to be approximately $200,000, but the actual base salary offered will depend on the background and experience of the candidate identified. This role is also eligible for a discretionary, performance-based annual bonus.
