Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their need for orthopedic physical therapy. Utilize evidence-based practices to develop individualized treatment plans that address specific patient needs.
• Implement effective care and treatment protocols in alignment with physician care plans, agency policies, and recognized professional standards.
• Deliver high-quality patient treatment, which includes ongoing evaluation, adjustment of treatment plans, patient/family education, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Focus primarily on the prevention and management of functional disorders, promoting mobility and overall health.
• Provide guidance to patients and their families regarding appropriate in-home treatment options and exercises to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and informed patient care, sharing pertinent patient information with doctors and specialists.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily serving orthopedic patients, often recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain issues. Building strong, empathetic relationships with patients is essential, as you will guide them through their recovery journeys while actively encouraging their involvement in their treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree from an accredited physical therapy curriculum is required.
• An active and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of three years of experience working within an outpatient setting, demonstrating expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Required certifications include First Aid, AED, & CPR certifications, ensuring all staff meet vital life-support protocols.
• Strong background in treating various musculoskeletal health conditions, showcasing a deep understanding of effective therapeutic approaches.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
