This position is a remote role designed to facilitate flexible working hours while integrating seamlessly into our telehealth services. Our mental health team works collaboratively using digital platforms to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and consultations. You will primarily operate within a telehealth framework, ensuring accessibility for students and families who may be facing barriers to in-person care.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of students with diverse special needs.

• Developing and implementing evidence-based individualized treatment plans that address mental health challenges, emotional well-being, and successful integration into the school environment.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions. For instance, you may facilitate a group session focused on emotional regulation skills for students with ADHD or provide one-on-one therapy for a student coping with trauma.

• Utilizing various therapeutic modalities tailored to children and adolescents, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies.

• Collaborating effectively with educational staff, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other relevant professionals to deliver holistic care.

• Offering immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, including developing safety plans and connecting families with necessary resources.

• Providing psychoeducation to students and families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, empowering them with information and tools for better coping mechanisms.

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Participating in regular team meetings and case conferences to review treatment plans and collaborate on multifaceted cases.

Your primary focus will be supporting students with special education needs. This population often experiences unique challenges that require sensitive and specialized approaches. You will work closely with students diagnosed with ASD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and those navigating the impacts of trauma, ensuring that all interventions are safe, supportive, and tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LCSW license in the state of Connecticut.
