Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.

  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, group, family, and couples therapy sessions, catering to a diverse clientele.

  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to promote client engagement and success.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals and families who may have limited access to mental health resources. This includes addressing a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles. Your expertise in therapy will often serve clients from various backgrounds and demographics, including those coping with substance use disorders, childhood trauma, and other psychological distress.

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

  • An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut is required.

  • A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, including clinical settings, is essential.
