Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, to address various mental health issues.

• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy to meet specific client needs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated client care, sharing insights and strategies to enhance treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a varied population, focusing primarily on individuals and families who may face challenges accessing traditional mental health services. Many of our clients deal with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, and substance misuse. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability to effectively support a wide array of personal histories and mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• An active, unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Connecticut.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic techniques.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to counseling practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
